More specifically, this fruit provides significant amounts of fiber, vitamins A and C, iron and potassium. In addition, it contains antioxidant substances such as carotenoids and polyphenols. Passion fruit dessert recipes

First of all, it is important to clarify one point: these desserts are high in calories, so they should be consumed in moderation. Moreover, because of their high sour content, people who suffer from diabetes, overweight or obesity, as affirmed by the study carried out by the Institute for Research in Food Science (Madrid). When in doubt, consult a nutritionist.

Passion fruit cookies

This simple recipe is ideal for afternoon tea or a special occasion. It is also a very good option to finish a meal. Nevertheless, keep in mind that it should not be overused due to the high calorie content.

Ingredients

  • 1 large fresh passion fruit (60 g)
  • 1/2 cup of passion fruit juice (125 mL)
  • 1 package of butter cookies (250 g)
  • 1/2 sachet of unflavored gelatin (about 4 g)
  • 1 packet of liquid cream (150 g)
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (200 g)
  • 1/4 cup whole milk (60 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (10 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch (5 g)
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick (2 g)

Preparation

  • Start by placing the passion fruit juice, condensed milk, liquid cream and whole milk in a bowl.
  • Mix the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous passion fruit cream.
  • Moisturize the gelatin with about 60 ml of hot water. When the gelatin takes on consistency, add it to the mixture you made just before. Mix well again.
  • Completely cover the surface of a cookie mold.
  • Pour the passion fruit mixture over the cookies and distribute it evenly. Put the mold in the refrigerator for an hour.
  • While the mixture is cooling, prepare a passion fruit sauce that you will add at the end to finish this dessert.
  • To do this, cook the leftover passion fruit pulp with the sugar, water and cornstarch. Stir well to dissolve all the ingredients together.

With this sauce  we make the most of the passion fruit. We can add cinnamon to flavor and decorate. To finish the recipe, we take the mold out of the refrigerator and serve the passion fruit dessert with the sauce.

Chocolate brownie and passion fruit sorbet

This delicious cake combines the intense flavor of chocolate with the freshness of passion fruit. It will be perfect to end your lunches and dinners with friends or family.

To make this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup of passion fruit pulp (100 g)
  • 1/4 banana (20 g)
  • 10 ml rum
  • 1 can of liquid cream (145 g)
  • 4 egg yolks (20 g)
  • 1 cup of sugar (200 g)
  • 2 medium-sized eggs (120 g)
  • 5 tablespoons of syrup (45 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of glucose (5 g)
  • 1 bar + 1/4 butter (125 g)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour (60 g)
  • 1 large bar of dark chocolate (110 g)

Preparation of the  Brownie

  • You need to start by preparing the chocolate base. To do this, melt 70 grams of chocolate and the butter.
  • Beat the eggs with the 150 grams of sugar and the almond flour, then gradually pour the mixture into the mixture prepared just before.
  • When you obtain a homogeneous paste, pour it into the previously buttered mold. Bake at 200ÂșC for fifteen minutes.

Preparation of passion fruit sorbet

  • It’s time to make the passion fruit sorbet.
  • To do this, bring the pulp of the passion fruit to a boil with the syrup and glucose.
  • When the ingredients are well dissolved, remove them from the heat and let them cool to room temperature.

Preparation of the banana caramel

  • To prepare the banana caramel, heat 25 grams of sugar in a saucepan until it turns to caramel.
  • Then add the banana that you will flambĂ© with the rum.
  • Pour the 45 grams of liquid cream into the saucepan, then mix everything well before mixing and filtering.

Preparation of creamy chocolate

  • All you have to do is prepare the creamy chocolate. For this, you must start by making a custard by mixing the egg yolks with the rest of the sugar.
  • Add the 100 grams of liquid cream that you have left. Stir well until you obtain a smooth cream with a texture similar to that of a custard.
  • Heat the mixture over very low heat until it thickens a bit, then pour in the rest of the chocolate.
  • When the chocolate has melted, remove the mixture from the heat and let stand for about twelve hours.

As for the presentation, place the chocolate brownie on a baking sheet and incorporate your other preparations on it. The result will be a dessert with a very interesting mix of flavors that will surely please all your guests.
